My review of the Wed. Oct 16th show at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.

I look forward to these shows every year! So I was excited at the chance to attend this show and this time I brought along my friend and her 2 daughters.

So the show started out with Mickey and the gang dressed up in tourisy outfits, as if they're going on a trip - and yes they were and we were all invited!

Then it kicked off with some characters from the Lion King, seeing Pumba come out always makes me smile. I wonder how he skates so well being it looks like the person inside is most likely hunched over. I loved all of the skaters, great segment and quick story. I loved their costumes.

Next came the Little Mermaid, Sebastian the crab came out, goofy as always and inside these big shells, mermaids came out. And we were all anticipating for Ariel - then she come out - the crowd cheers. The scene moves to make it look as if Prince Eric was on his ship overlooking the water. He looks through his telescope, only to see Ariel... Then a song sequence comes in and many underwater sea creatures skate around. There's jellyfish, starfish, an eel, sharks and a seahorse. The jellyfish character was very nicely done.

Next was Lilo & Stitch - ok I admit I've never seen the movie, but I know who Stitch is (Ill watch this movie soon!) So because I've never seen the movie, I couldn't really understand what was going on. I saw that it was Hawaiian...Lilo and her sister going to adopt a "dog" she buys Stitch for $2 and brings him home. It turns out this "dog" is an alien fugitive wanted and was being chased down by the alien police.

The final show was Peter Pan. It was long with lots of talking and singing. I thought it was well done and the flying was cool too. The pirate characters were amusing and the scenes well played out, Captain Hook was hilarious the way he treated Smee. Made us laugh every time he did something to him, like tripped him and knocked him out of the way.

I overall liked the show, I went to Hawaii, to the wilds of Africa, Neverland & Ariel's Undersea Kingdom all in 1 night! The acts were done well and were entertaining. I loved the use of the large inflatable Ursula and the crocodile.
We got to our seats right when the show started and I was amazed on how fast time flew by. I like that there's an intermission in the middle of the show. There's a lot of vendors that sell foods and toys some separate and some together. I know that the cotton candy was $12 that came with this flower hat (something that the Tinkerbell Fairies would wear)
The show was well organized and in between each scene change, Mickey and the gang comes out to be their funny selves as the next show gets ready to begin.
The show is great for kids and the kid at heart! Its something that I look forward to everytime they're in town! So check to see if they're coming to a city near you: Ticketmaster
